DSCSA · Drug Supply Chain Security Act

US federal law (2013) requiring electronic, interoperable, lot-level traceability of prescription drugs from manufacturer to dispenser by 2027.

ePI · Electronic Product Information

Regulator-approved digital leaflet that replaces paper inserts. Multilingual, versioned, and verifiable from manufacturer through dispense.

FHIR · Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources

HL7 standard for representing healthcare data. The trust fabric speaks FHIR for clinical and product information exchange.

FMD · Falsified Medicines Directive

EU regulation requiring serialization and verification of prescription medicines at the point of dispense; the EU counterpart to DSCSA.

GxP · Good practice quality guidelines

Umbrella term for regulated quality frameworks (GMP, GCP, GLP, GDP). Conformance is required for production network membership.

IDMP · Identification of Medicinal Products

ISO standard suite (11238–11240, 11615–11616) for the unique identification and exchange of medicinal product data globally.

IRT · Interactive Response Technology

Trial-management system handling randomization, drug supply, and unblinding. In a trust fabric, IRT events are network-governed.

Trust fabric

A decentralized infrastructure that lets every party in a network trust the data without trusting each other. Replaces "blockchain" in our vocabulary.
