AstraTrace — Supply Chain Intelligence
Your serialisation stack tells you a product is authentic.
AstraTrace tells you where it is going — and where it isn't.
AstraTrace is a continuously updated supply chain observability layer built above your existing ERP, WMS, and serialisation infrastructure. Continuously updated inventory visibility. Network-level shortage signals. No rip-and-replace.

The visibility gap
Three things your current supply chain stack cannot tell you — and why they matter.
- 01Where product is downstream, at any given moment. Your ERP and WMS give you good visibility into your own operations. After product leaves your warehouse and enters the distributor tier, visibility degrades rapidly. You know what you shipped. You do not know where it is in the distribution chain, how long it has been sitting, or whether it will reach the right market at the right time.
- 02Where a shortage is forming — before it surfaces. Pharmaceutical shortage signals form in the downstream gap: at distributors, at wholesalers, at hospital pharmacies, at the point of dispense. By the time a shortage is visible to the manufacturer's supply chain team, it has been building for weeks. The data to detect it earlier exists — it is simply not connected.
- 03What a cold-chain excursion means for downstream inventory. A temperature excursion recorded at a logistics handoff is a supply chain event. Knowing which specific batches are affected, where those batches currently are in the distribution chain, and which downstream customers will be impacted — that correlation requires a supply chain data layer that spans your tier and the tiers below it.
The architecture
An intelligence layer above your existing serialisation stack. Not a replacement.
AstraTrace ingests EPCIS 2.0 supply chain events from your existing infrastructure — ERP, WMS, serialisation platforms — and produces a unified, continuously updated observability layer. Your TraceLink or SAP ATTP investment stays intact. AstraTrace connects above it.
EPCIS 2.0 event ingestion
Standard EPCIS 2.0 event ingestion from your ERP, WMS, and serialisation platforms. If you are running TraceLink or SAP ATTP, you are already generating the data AstraTrace needs. No new data standard required on your side.
Continuously updated observability dashboards
Continuously updated inventory position and movement dashboards by product, market, and distribution channel. Daily pulse reports. Shelf-life analytics. Comparison reporting across periods. Designed for supply chain operations teams — not just IT.
Cold chain intelligence
Cold chain excursion monitoring integrated with the supply chain data layer. Batch-level correlation between temperature events and inventory position. Available as an add-on to the Professional and Enterprise tiers.
Network-level intelligence
The visibility that emerges when manufacturers and health authorities share data on the same layer.
The Alberta Health pilot demonstrates what network-level supply chain intelligence looks like in practice. Alberta Health Services has centralised pharmaceutical purchasing and distribution across the province. When manufacturer EPCIS data and health authority operational data connect on the same AstraTrace infrastructure, shortage signals become visible upstream and downstream simultaneously — not just within a single organisation's tier.
What manufacturers gain
Downstream visibility — distributor movements, provincial stock levels, point-of-dispense patterns — without requiring separate bilateral integrations with each downstream partner. One connection to the shared infrastructure provides the network view.
What health authorities gain
Upstream visibility into manufacturer supply positions — batch locations, shipment timings, inventory forecasts — without requiring manufacturers to build bespoke reporting for each health authority. The shared data layer serves both directions simultaneously.
Pricing
Three tiers. Priced by EPCIS event volume.
| Tier | Price | EPCIS events / month | GTINs | Key capabilities |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | €499 / month | 25,000 | 50 | Standard dashboards, verifiable audit trail |
| Professional | €4,999 / month | 500,000 | 1,000 | Custom reports, API access, cold chain add-on available |
| Enterprise | From €15,000 / month | Unlimited | Unlimited | Dedicated instance, custom integrations, cold chain included, advanced CSRD analytics |
Top-20 MAH accounts are typically Enterprise tier. Contact us for a volume-based estimate for your specific EPCIS event volumes.
The combined platform argument
AstraTrace and AstraLabel on the same infrastructure: supply chain and product information connected.
AstraTrace is one component of the Product Trust Platform. When AstraTrace and AstraLabel operate on the same PTP infrastructure, supply chain events and label version changes become correlatable as data syncs occur. A safety label update triggers a supply chain event. A shortage in a specific geography is visible alongside the label version in circulation in that geography. This cross-product intelligence is available only on the shared platform — not by connecting two separate vendor systems.
