ABOUT SARAH

Sarah is a Supply Chain professional  at GSK, leading Artwork , Packaging & Serialisation Services. She has 20+ years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry spanning Manufacturing, SC, Tech and Finance. Strong expertise in business transformation supported by technology and optimized operating models including outsourced services. Her passion is leading teams to provide excellent service performance, generating and executing strategic plans to benefit patients.

ABOUT DAN

Dan served as the Industry Project Leader for the PharmaLedger Project. He was with Novartis for over 20 years in global supply chain, manufacturing operations and systems architecture in Switzerland and Germany. He has more than 30 years of leadership and supply chain IT experience in the US Army, financial, and pharmaceutical industries. He holds a B.S. in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and is certified by ASCM in CPIM, CSCP and SCOR.

ABOUT STEFAN

Dr. Stefan Schwarzfischer, holding a Ph.D. in Process Engineering from RWTH Aachen, Germany, has an extensive executive background, notably as CEO of Botswana Power Corporation and Board Chairman of Liquid Telecom Botswana Ltd. His leadership at Botswana Power Corporation was marked by significant achievements, including turning a substantial loss into profit and enhancing the green energy footprint, demonstrating a strategic and impactful approach to management and sustainability. At Liquid Telecom, Stefan led initiatives to expand high-speed internet infrastructure, significantly advancing digital connectivity in the region. With over 25 years of experience in CEO, CFO, and COO roles, Stefan’s career is distinguished by his capacity to drive technological innovation, his commitment to ethical business practices, and his contributions to combating counterfeit drugs. His international experience, covering Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Botswana, and South Africa, illustrates a versatile and visionary leadership style, perfectly aligning with PharmaLedger’s mission.

ABOUT HANNES
A psychologist and public health professional by training, Hannes’ career is focused on improving population health through initiatives combining research, the translation of research findings into tangible insights for policy and lay people, and advocacy. He is specialised in managing international and transdisciplinary projects that bring together stakeholders from all areas. Hannes led the European Patients’ Forum’s contributions to the PharmaLedger project which made him passionate about patient-centricity in the development of Electronic Product Information; as well as establishing a shared clinical trial matchmaking platform. His vision for the PLA is for it to grow into a transparent and collaborative consortium that accelerates the development and deployment of blockchain-enabled healthcare where patient and citizen perspectives continue to shape products in all stages.

ABOUT MARÍA TERESA
Considered as one of the 8 pioneers who opened the doors to thousands of scientist women in Spain. She is the first woman Electronic Engineer (National University of Tucumán), first PhD in Telecommunications Engineering (Universidad Politecnica de Valencia). First Full Professor in Telecommunication Engineering (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). First woman professor in Electronic Technology in Spain. Also, she is one of the 7 founders of the First Scientific Society of Bioengineering (SABI) of all Latin America. Recognised by the Valencia Official College of Engineers (COITCV/AVIT) as one of the women in the sector who have most influenced the development of ICTs. She created the Life Supporting Technologies (LST) Research Group in 2022 and has led 110 European Projects as PI (FP6; FP7; H2020; EIT HEALTH; IMI; PRIMA).

ABOUT JEANNE
A well-versed patient advocate with a pioneering sense of the web’s potential to improve health care, Jeanne’s expertise has been honed through years of broad-based experience. She understands the complex issues patients with cystic fibrosis face. She is an expert in creating effective patient-centered website forums, videos, newsletters, podcasts, apps, and new technologies for patient education and self-care management. She is skilled in preparing and delivering comprehensive presentations to varied audiences including Pharma Conferences. She has chaired and delivered presentations at Digital Pharma East and eyeforpharma conferences. Jeanne won the Patient Centricity Award in 2011 from PharmaPhorum. She has a teacher’s patience and curiosity. Jeanne identifies and addresses the needs of patients requiring innovative technological solutions. Detail-oriented with proven effectiveness in stimulating the patient base. Experienced with twenty five years of listening to patients’ stories. Proactive in promoting the implementation of remote technology solutions, reducing cross contamination health risks and ultimately reducing chronic care costs.

John is a senior healthcare executive and leader, with more than 30 years of global experience in the pharma/biotech industry. A recognized expert across many dimensions of the industry and currently serves as Chief Executive Office at Zuellig Pharma John joined Zuellig Pharma in 2018 to oversee the development and growth of their Commercial Solutions business, spearheading the growth of its marketing, sales, business development, and regulatory services. John has over three decades of industry experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, strategy consulting, and healthcare investment banking across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. He previously held various senior global leadership positions at Aventis, Genzyme, and Ernst & Young, as well as the role of CEO at Menarini Asia-Pacific based in Singapore, where he established the company’s Asia-Pacific commercial footprint.

Gloria is a versatile leader with twenty-four years of combined experience in the Consumer Health, MedTech, and Pharma industries with cross-functional business, technology, and Digital expertise. In her current role as Associate Vice President Digital Supply chain at Merck, Gloria partners closely with Supply Chain Management to take the Digital transformation journey to the next level. She leads a global team that plays a critical role in further modernizing the end-to-end value chains – from supplier to customer and patient, through world-class digital capabilities that enable a resilient, accessible, agile, and environmentally sustainable global supply chain. In her prior role at Johnson & Johnson, as Senior Director of Supply Chain Technology Strategy (SCT), she was a trusted advisor to the SCT Leadership Team and Digital Transformation Office. Gloria served as a critical connector across a complex organization and was responsible for partnering with global SCT leaders across Consumer Health, Janssen, MedTech, Deliver, and Quality to define and drive the global strategy and align technology roadmaps. Gloria is a well-respected, empathetic leader and DEI champion who leaves a strong legacy at J&J for her ability to lead and develop talent and build high performing teams.

Gregor Cuzak, MSc, MBA, is Secretary General of the Patient Organisations Association of Slovenia. He is also employed by the National Institute of Chemistry at the newly established Centre for Technologies of Gene and Cell Therapy. He is an evaluator of technologies and startups at Vesna Venture Capital. His references include: European Commission, European Connected Health Alliance, European Patients Forum and others.

ABOUT LUIS

Luis Miguel Campos received his B. Tech in Electronics and Computer Systems from IST (Instituto Superior Técnico – Lisbon) in 1992, his M.S. and PhD in Information & Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine in 1995, and 1999, respectively.

He is the founder of over 30 companies world-wide and served as CEO in several of those companies and more recently led the Research and Development Department at PDMFC (staffed with over 50 full time researchers) and supervised over 40 European Union and National funded research projects.

He is often invited to act as an expert evaluator for the European Commission and previously worked as a faculty member at the University of California Irvine and at NASA.

Published dozens of papers in international conferences and scientific journal in areas as diverse as Parallel Computing, Agent-Based Computing, Resource Management in Distributed Systems, Simulation Theory, Cluster Computing, Computer vision, Autonomous Systems among others.
